It would seem there is always a fight over some stupid thing. Whether it is racism, sexism, are you too fat, are you too thin, the argument has even moved on to toys. There are so many people out there now that are saying toys are promoting sexism. Is this really happening or is the world just getting worse? Here are just some of the ones they are complaining about.
Doctors and Nurses
This is primarily a game played by children (will not go into the adult method). Now I will say that it is mainly women that are complaining about this item and it is for this reason. The doctor is always seen to be the male figure and of course the nurse female.
This is the target audience it doesnt matter as it is doesnt have to be their only audience? When you look at the traditional kids outfits it is very clear that the nurses outfit is for the girls and the doctor is for either so surely the male is losing out here? People forget about the kids, no little girl is interested in being a doctor, they would much rather be a nurse which is why the companies do it.
People are just trying to force the kids into things they do not want to do, if the girls is that interested in becoming a doctor they will grow up and get on with it.
Pirates
This is something that as seen as for boys even by the massive companies like Disney. So is it fair to say girls cannot be a pirate? Many people are taking this out of proportion saying that it isnt fair that their little girl cannot be a pirate, companies arent saying that at all they just know most girls want to be princesses.
